Irina Slutskaya: "I never think about beating Michelle. I just want to skate my program because I can do very well. if I can do it that's great, if not, I will work more."

Post-competition Interview
Susie Wynne: I'm here with two of the greatest ladies in figure skating. <snip> Michelle, how does Irina Slutskaya push you and how does that rivalry help you to get better?" 
Michelle Kwan: "I love competing against Irina. We have a blast. It's nice to have someone very close, right behind you. Because when you step in a cold rink early in the morning., you know that people are right behind you. you gotta keep yourself going and motivated. I think she motivates me. I think it's good for both of us. 
Susie Wynne: "So that competitive edge helps you both. Irina, congratulations. You started off with some mistakes but by the end you built very strong. What were you thinking during your free program?"
Irina Slutskaya:  "Thank you. I have some mistakes. I almost do it. Of course, I will work hard and I think I will do it later!"
Susie Wynne: " I think so too. it will be fun watching you two compete throughout the season."
