2000 Europeans: Post Competition Interview

Peter Carruthers: The new European champion. Irina. last year, you didn't even get out of the Russian nationals. Now this year, you once again have regained your European title. how did you do it?
Irina Slutskaya: Well, I have lots of work. I think it's just work. i want to thank my coach, my parents, and my husband, They also help me going back on the ice (laughs)
Peter Carruthers:  Well, you look beautiful on the ice but everyone's been talking about your triple-triple combinations. Today we did not see them. Did the jumps feel comfortable. 
Irina Slutskaya:  Yes, jumps feel comfortable. I need tonight a clean program. i can't do mistakes tonight. if I have mistakes, I could be 3rd or 4th. I need a clean skate and I didn't try triple-triple.
Peter Carruthers:  Well, it was still a very good performance and we wish you luck at the upcoming world championships.
Irina Slutskaya: Thank you very much.
